You got a lot of grenade launcher, these are the best for infantry killing. They can easily outnumber ennemies best plane, or you can send them to wait for bombers for exemple. Mig 23 are less bad they seem, especially non soviet version. The only "modern" soviet planes is the PU. The planes, with their SA missilles, need wide range to move, so you need to control more map to use them (the mig25 and yak 141, and especially the mi31). Soviet need to use their buk to help migs in the air, with a lot of micro of the radar. etc.Ī t80uk can even be used as a real tank, and it probably the best quality price ratio for a command vehicule (a command unit for 50 points ! cause you have a 150 tank for it !) But you can also use the number of protypes : 2 bu + 2um. A t72bbu will hardly killing the ennemy prototypes in a pure armor vs armor. A well hide T80U or t64bv can kill prototypes, but its harder to play. ![]() A Chally2 can just charge a front without dying, and leclerc can just wait to kill any close tank. A t80U is made for long range, kills vehicules, fire on the tanks flank. On the paper, redfor have less good tech : armor, ecm, accuracy.īut they are played differently. However i would still like to see Redfor being just as viable as Blufor, so if im wrong for whatever reason, then please correct me. Sure a good Redfor player will still beat a bad Blufor player, but if both players are equal in skill the odds seem to be tilted towards the Blufor player. The only advantage Redfor seems to have is being able to better defend areas due to a prevalence of ATGM's and counter-attack with heli offenses. Which generally means, together with regular fire support units, Blufor is better suited for combat within forests, resisting artillery fire, and attacking cities. The average is around 4-3-1-1.įor Blufor the highest armor is 18-6-4-4 for 90 points (Merkava IIA), and the average is roughly 5-3-2-2. The highest armor in the entire Redfor Faction is 5-3-2-2 for 40 points (BMP-3, altough the BTR-T has 13-5-2-2, but it is only available for 2 engineer squads in the USSR so its not really something that can be used for regular infantry combat across nations). Sending Cheap infantry ahead and finishing up with armored transports usually wins against strong infantry with weak transports (cities are the exeption). ![]() Infantry without fire support is rather weak. Heli's are only usefull in areas without aa, whereas Jets can still provide assisstance while praying to RNGesus. Blufor's jets usually have between 10% to 30% higher ECM, and F14-Tomcats are by far the most useful ASF. Jets provide more control over the battlefield and are harder to shoot down than helis. The problem here is that fire support, jets and transports are way more important than infantry and helis. Blufor has better fire support, jets, and transports (IFV & APC). Sometimes one of these categories is tilted towards one Faction, but its not *that* much of a difference to really carry said Faction. Looking across every category both Redfor and Blufor have good tanks, anti-air, artillery, recon, logistics, and vehicles. I have tried to make a good Redfor Deck for quite a while now, but no matter what Nation/Coalition i take, it always ends up inferiour to a similar Blufor Deck. ![]()
